Street-wear brands such as Bape are always fusing their influence with sports culture, especially basketball. The super influential Japanese brand uses the recognizable camouflage on Mitchell & Ness NBA jerseys. Each jersey comes with the ape head on the front. On the back, Bape is spelled out above the 93, which represents the brand’s birth year. The Mitchell & Ness jerseys give off a very authentic vibe, almost to the point where you can see Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, or Clyde Drexler dropping buckets in them.
Bape also created t-shirts for the collection and linked with Spaulding to develop a camo print basketball. The collection was pre-launched October 13th with the official release being October 20th.
